New Jersey is on a mission to make the state the safest, most equitable place in the nation to deliver and raise a baby. Taft is proud to support the state’s mission to reduce maternal and infant health disparities in partnership with the New Jersey Maternal and Infant Health Innovation Authority (MIHIA).
In July of 2023, Gov. Phil Murphy signed into law the New Jersey and Infant Health Innovation Center Act establishing MIHIA, which is the first and only such authority in the U.S. In 2024, MIHIA’s pivotal public launch stage began with support from Taft and The Setroc Group. Launch initiatives included defining, educating, and informing audiences about MIHIA and its role addressing long standing maternal and infant health inequities. Working with the new government entity, Taft and Setroc were tasked with enhancing awareness of this first-in-the-nation authority through strategic communications and a marketing launch plan.
Under the guidance of First Lady Tammy Murphy’s office, Taft and Setroc helped to launch MIHIA’s social media platforms and create a logo and brand identity in addition to conducting communications training for MIHIA leadership and board members. We look forward to New Jersey continuing to address racial disparities for years to come through MIHIA’s leadership.
